haha. i was on the bus to go to KSL City and chatted with a Canadian tourist with his Filipino wife who were touring the Southeast Asian continent. i noticed how at the very end of most of my sentences i put ~~'lah'~~. guessed at times he was a bit confused. haha. it's our very own accent i guessed. Manglish. haha.

5 years ago when my SPM result came out i was ecstatic. like really2 happy with my result. i thought since i got 9As i could fly halfway around the world for the purpose of studying. but i didn't. all my applications to study abroad got rejected by every single one of them. literally, all of it. i had to admit i was disappointed to the point where i thought i was stupid. i got jealous of my friends who get the one chance that i didn't get. i didn't understand why i was pushed aside. when i see some of my friends whose number of As are lower than mine but get offered to go abroad, it was like i fell to the very bottom of the earth. i thought it was unfair. i remember crying for hours as if it was the end of me. hatred consumed me that i began to hate some of them. but that feeling fade away as time passed by. by then my mind has been mold into thinking i was not good enough and all other negative thoughts conquered my head. and myself physically, spiritually, and mentally.

but i eventually enrolled into matriculation college with bunch of my school friends. i was happy there. but part of me still had all of those negative thinking. i didn't see why it happened or what God has planned for me. i failed to see the reason behind everything that has happened. but then i remember back in middle school i used to love Indiana Jones. Indy personally developed my interest in archaeology back then (even though now i know how Prof. Jones looks more like a grave robber than an archaeologist). when i applied to study abroad after SPM, it was in the field of agriculture. i began to redevelop my passion for archaeology and all stuff ancient. by the end of my second semester in college i had to choose whether to continue studying in Science or explore a new discipline which is Arts. i chose Arts. my parents were against it at first but in the end they let it go and let me create my own path. i chose USM (University of Science Malaysia). i decided to apply for Social Sciences.

and i got in. i majored in Anthropology and Sociology and minored in Archaeology. the sole reason why i wanted to enter USM so bad was because USM was the only university that offers archaeology course in Malaysia. i realized that if i apply scholarships to go abroad they won't let me take up archaeology. i prob had to take medicine or any other 'critical' disciplines. although a few weeks after i entered USM i got two offers to study abroad : Dentistry in Indonesia and TESL in New Zealand. well, i rejected both of them. not payback btw. it was because i already had my goal and what i wanted to do with my life. and USM has everything that i needed.

and now i've graduated from USM with a BA. in Social Sciences. and now i am currently writing my proposal for my masters degree in archaeology. and hopefully after two years i'll graduate with a masters degree.

now, everything's clear. why i got rejected. God has planned everything for me all along. good thing i didn't study abroad. because if i did, than i jz abandon my passion. which i'm glad i didn't. i regret crying like hell when i got rejected. i regret thinking i was stupid. i regret having all of those negative thoughts toward myself. if only i realized sooner that everything happens for a reason... it doesn't matter. i'm not jealous anymore. i did what i did because i love it and i know it's right for me. from a science student to and art student. well at least i get to explore both of it.

the one thing that i regret is the fact that this country values natural sciences and tend to put aside social sciences. there should be a balance between these two as they are both of equal important. i've learned a lot being a social science student. the knowledge that i've gained throughout 3 years as an undergrad is really valuable. it made me more aware of the social surroundings. it made me a more caring and better person. there ought to be more anthropologists, sociologists, political analysts, etc out there. social sciences esp anthropology and sociology needs to be a well-established discipline. my only regret is that it's not. in the Europe and US these field of study are not something they take lightly over. it's essential in the development of a country esp a developing nation like ours. i hope in the future it'll be on the same level and exist a balance between the two main discipline.

oh my. i haven't write in quite some times and all of a sudden i blurted out everything. well, moral of the story is don't look down on yourself and know that God always has a plan for you. as long as you work hard to achieve it, everything will be ok. i know i'm gonna be okay. InsyaAllah~

i've been dying to get myself a Samsung Galaxy S II. and yesterday my perhaps ~~over-the-top~~ wish was granted by none other than my beloved parents! XD i didn't think when i asked for it my dad would see to it but last night they were somehow extra nice and negotiable. anyways mom said it was a present and a symbol of thank you for finishing my degree without any problem and agreeing to continue with masters degree. i was like.. woww.. mom.. you think very highly of me and for that i am grateful and i'll make sure to make you guys be more proud of me in the future! and got myself a very passionate kiss on the cheek by my mom in the middle of Sutera Mall shopping centre.. haha..

not the movie with Jim Carrey. this movie's lead role is ME. a series of unfortunate events which unfortunately happened to me! man, it ~~sucks~~..

1) i stretched my arm.. a bit ~~roughly~~ i think that i ~~dislocated~~ my bone... it was ~~painful~~ and now my left arm feels kinda weird.. not good weird.. but ~~weird weird~~...

2) i ~~tripped~~ on a lot of things today.. mostly furniture... my cat sometimes. generating more ~~bruises~~ on my bodies especially my legs..

maybe i should put this in my house

3) i was about to break my fast when the ~~hot choc spilled~~ all over my clothes and did i mention it was ~~hot~~? it was friggin' hot! i had to change my clothes and made another drink.. not to mention i had to clean up the mess...

4) i was heating up the food when my ~~oily hand~~ accidentally let slipped the plate i was holding.. you know what happened next.. again i had to clean up my mess..

to sum up >>> today kinda ~~sucks~~.. it's taking its toll me that it's ~~ruining my day~~!

green doesn't always mean go

in the case of Green Lantern, it means ~~stop~~. man i don't wanna be ~~harsh~~, but this latest superhero movie kinda ~~sucks~~.. big time. i've read reviews saying it's really bad but i went to see it anyway.. mainly due to Ryan Reynolds being the main character aka the Green Lantern.. and i hate to see him being in a really bad-written movie! i love him! he is just way too cool to be in this movie! X-Men: First Class was way more more better than this one... the story line's pretty much a ~~cliche~~. i dunno if they actually adapt the plot from the comic. if they do, i'm sure the comic's way better than the movie. it seems ~~too simple~~ to me. i dunno what else to say. to sum up, i don't really like the movie. compared to being the Green Lantern, i think i preferred him as Deadpool/Wade Wilson in Wolverine (still that movie did not live up to my expectations)..

i love the x-men franchise.. be it the movies or the comics or the cartoons. but the last x-men flick which was ~~Wolverine~~ was really bad.. i didn't like anything about it. it was a ~~disappointment~~ should i say it. this latest X-Men: First Class, i've been anticipating for this prequel. and watched it yesterday with my friends. i gotta say.. this one is a huge success! at least to me it is. it's like watching Batman Begins (which was awesome btw). for the entire 2hours and 15minutes i think.. i could not stop ~~fidgeting~~ in my seat because i was really looking forward of what might happen next. and because the cinema was ~~darn cold~~ too of course! haha.. i mean, we all know what happened. Professor X and Magneto eventually went their separate ways with their own followers and different ideologies. the only thing we didn't know was how they parted from each other.

this movie managed to portray the relationship between Erik and Charles beautifully. so beautiful that it was really ~~sad~~ watching them become ~~enemies~~ in a split second. their friendship was i dunno how to put it.. strong maybe? at first... but early in the movie people would've spotted the ~~difference~~ in the two most important character's way of thinking... Charles put so much faith in the humans with the belief that mutants can live peacefully among human beings. Erik on the other hand has always been driven by ~~anger~~ and ~~revenge~~ because of his hellish life during the Cold War. he didn't believe that mutants and humans can get along well and humankind will do whatever it takes to get rid of them. actually he was proven right by the end of the movie... huhu.. these ideologies have always been the central theme to all the x-men movies.

i really love this movie!! it was seriously sad watching the ending and to know that Erik was the reason why Charles was in the wheelchair all these times. and Raven/Mystique.. from childhood friend to foe Raven and Charles... for Mystique to become who she is in the sequels, woww.. it's just ~~unbelievable~~ because she's a real bad ass. but i think Jennifer Lawrence whom played Raven aka Mystique managed to deliver her role superbly. the ~~dilemma~~ she was in, not accepting herself with her ~~blue~~ and ~~scaly~~ skin.. the triangle between Erik, Charles, and Raven.. it was intense. who knew Hank the beast and Raven used to like each other?? haha.. X-Men: First Class really explains everything that we've seen in all the x-men movies.. i admit it does have ~~flaws~~ here and there but overall it's a terrific movie and one of the few superhero movies successfully pulled off... it's scores are awesome too! i got goosebumps listening to them! James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and everyone else did a great job!

btw my fav character has always been Jean Grey aka the Dark Phoenix!

i was randomly changing the channels on TV when i came across an old movie by S Club 7 Seeing Double.. i didn't realized the fact that when i was a kid i used to go ~~crazy~~ whenever i see S Club 7 on TV! it was 10 years ago i think. and my favorite out of all 7 of them had always been Rachel. damn i miss them! the pop-ish music.. i remembered watching their series from Miami.. LA... watched most of their concerts.. on TV of course, not live.. the really ruled back then.. they had a lot of chart-topping singles.. great chemistry.. awesome TV series.. i wish they didn't ~~disband~~ but then come to think of it they'd be pretty old by now.. and their music genre is a little off and might seem weird nowadays.. i miss the good ol' times!

what a blast from the past... =) they were awesome! i miss seeing them on TV.. tina, jon, jo, paul, rachel, hannah and bradley! all of them!

went out to CS with my long time friend azreena last Wednesday. i had to get out. it was really ~~suffocating~~ just staying home doing nothing. especially when our Astro decoders are down. it was struck by ~~lightning~~ last Tuesday and then something ~~exploded~~. i think it was the 'kuali' Astro on our rooftop. then both decoders malfunctioned. it was super ~~boring~~ without TV at home. even though we have internet connections 24/7, staring at your computer for an ~~unimaginable~~ amount of time can still drive you ~~crazy~~. that's why i needed to get out.. and watch some movies..

watched Kongsi and Fast 5. and i gotta say i love both movies! haha. Kongsi which happens to be a Malay movie was about an ~~assassin~~ from Thailand coming to Malaysia to create ~~chaos~~ in the underworld scene of gangsters in the country. sounds ~~serious~~? it was supposed to be but with the elements of humor and stupidity added into it... it's almost like a movie about an assassin and a whole bunch of ~~circus~~ performers. it was funny! i dunno why but when it comes to Shaheizy Sam acting in a movie.. it never seems dull and he is a super duper talented actor! when his character demands him to be serious.. it would scare the shit out of people. whenever he needs to be funny... people would burst out laughing to the point where some cried due to his acting. i've always anticipated his movies. Kongsi is sooo 1Malaysia.. haha.. i love it for it's witty sense of humor and it's ability to make people laugh at the same time delivering some explicit messages to the society~ way to go Malaysian film industry!

[SPOILER ALERT] as for Fast 5.. i've been and avid fan of the fast & furious franchise... when it comes to action movies involving car races.. to me F&F is always the original one. the names O'Connor and Toretto are legends guys! it's weird though to see a rouge cop came to be a cop back and managed to get away from the authorities like a lot of times. seems ~~impossible~~ to pull off in the real world. nahh whatever.. i think Fast 5 is gonna be the ~~last~~ ever sequel for the series. coz they've gathered everybody from the first to the 4th movies. well, maybe not everybody.. but there were Roman Pearce, Han, Vince.. and others.. i kinda wish to see Suki actually.. haha! it will be ~~sad~~ if there are no more F&F in the future.. i think the first one came out in 2001.. i was 12 years old if am not mistaken.. 10 years ago.... I don't think they'll be racing again since Mia is pregnant unless they wanted their son to become an illegal racer also. haha. i kinda wish Letty didn't die in Fast 4.. she's an awesome character and i love Michelle Rodriguez! love the scene where they raced with one another using ~~police patrol cars~~! haha! it was ~~insane~~ yet impressive! and i kinda adore how they stole the vault from the military police HQ and how that vault destroyed almost everything that got into it's way! it was like Decepticons were in town! haha

the one with Battle : Los Angeles

i broke my promise! okay, now i'm gonna do a brief review on Battle: Los Angeles. i love the movie! and i totally don't get why critics were so ~~harsh~~ on it! most reviews i read were ~~negative~~.. man, they're really ~~cruel comments~~ that even i as an audience is criticized.. everyone else too that seems to like the movie. Aaron Eckhart was awesome and his acting skills were downright amazing. unfortunately certain people said that acting skills are not required in this movie due to its ~~stupidity~~ and ~~lameness.~~ wth... acting skills are required in any kinds of movies. your skills are the only thing that distinguishes you from others. yes i know the movie ~~lacks~~ one thing which is character development. from what i've learnt in creative writing class, character and plot developments are the two most important thing when writing a story. but come on, it's a war movie, it's supposed to fast-paced and ~~loud~~ with people ~~screaming~~ all over the places. there are just too many characters in the movie for everyone one of them to get a proper development. i think staff sergeant Nantz's character was well-developed. but for others, i don't think they would have enough time to properly develop them. if you want it, tell them to turn it into Generation Kill which happens to be a mini-series. Generation Kill was great. there you can see each and everyone of the characters getting their chances to show who they really are (it's ~~one hell of an honest story~~ btw).

i admit, the movie's quite a ~~cliche~~. it looks like parts were taken from BHD, parts were taken from Independence Day (my favorite alien invasion movie of all time), parts were taken from War of The Worlds. even SS Nantz character whom was pulled back into the military duty upon retirement is a cliche. the storyline is a cliche. a small group of marines trying to get a few civilians out of the blast area in a few hours. even the characters are all ~~predictable~~. even though the entire movie screams the word CLICHE and ~~UNORIGINAL~~, it still is a good movie. the battle scenes are believable, the battlefield speech was great because aaron eckhart did such a good job in delivering the emotions of a war-torn soldier. yes, its got people screaming all over the places but i expect it happens in other combat situations. there is no way everybody manage to stay silent and ~~calm~~ in situations like that. at first yeah the movie was quite noisy then it leveled down a little where they all get to think straight and come up with a strategy. hell, even i would scream. overall it's not the best war movie ever made.. i'd say independence day is better but it's a watchable movie and it's good. it keeps you action-movie junkies awake throughout the movie~ i like it.. ^___^ that said~

i've finished my assignments and submitted them already! only got one left to submit this Monday and another ~~presentation~~ this Wednesday.. after that, we're planning on going to Korean Seoul Garden @ Gurney Plaza for a food fest! hhahaha.... then we will enter ~~study week~~ and ~~exam~~ afterwards.. this will be my ~~last exam~~ as an undergraduate student.. i'm in a happy+sad mood... huhu.. happy i will no longer face the ~~stress~~ of ~~taking exams~~ and ~~not sleeping~~ due to unfinished assignments. but i'm also sad knowing that i will never do any of these again. perhaps i will but in a different context.. and after this i'm gonna face stress issues in trying to find a proper job and taking my masters... huhu.. i love my university life! i love my friends here! i love the stuff that i learned in USM! and on top of all i love USM! its environment, its buildings, its people, and everything about it just seared deeply in my heart! never ever thought that i would end up living in Penang (probably after this too) especially become a student of USM.. at first it was really ~~hard~~ since it's quite far from home. but i eventually got used to it and loving it more and more. but i have a feeling that i'll end up working here for a while and the take my masters degree here.. haha.. then i will become a citizen of Penang... and maybe find myself a Penang guy? haha we'll see about that. it still is too early to think about stuff like that.. ahaha ^___^

i dunno why i write about USM.. i was planning on writing a review of the movie Battle: Los Angeles.. i will in the next entry.. which will be today also since i don't really have much things to do. i love the movie! =)) i haven't had the time to take my DSLR around the campus and snap pictures with my friends... huhu been dying to do it.. maybe during the study week but my ~~exam schedule sucks~~! big time! i have exams on 18, 19, 20, and 29 of April! the first 3 papers are going to kill me.. 18th on the night is my Southeast Asian Archaeology paper which i have tonnes to read.. then the next day on the evening is my Tourism and Community Development paper.. hopefully this one is easier.. on 19th is Work and Life.. tonnes to read too. then i have another 'study week'!! 9days break until the next paper which is Industrial Relation and this one is one hell of a tough paper! it's about industrial relations and trade unions. crazy one~

after finishing my exam, i will be going to Seremban, N9 for my cousin's wedding then back to Penang with my family to pack my stuff and probably stay for a couple of days to tour Penang with my family.. after that i would have to think what to do. i was thinking on working at archaeology center and i've already discussed it with the director.. i actually want to continue my master but i need to find some working experience first.. he also suggested that i work there first and when i'm ready then i can continue with my research mode master's degree... agree! 100%! but i was also thinking of looking for a bodoh2 or simple jobs as waitress or promoters first back in JB. after my convocation then i will work at the center.. still can decide.. huhu

this one is gonna be quick. ~~sorry~~ i don't have time to update my blog. it's been two weeks since i last updated. last week me and my friends, we had to organize an international conference which involved youth in ASEAN. it was super duper ~~hectic~~ and i barely had time to open my laptop let along update my blog or even Facebook and Twitter. after the conference ended, once again i had to busy myself with ~~piles of assignments~~ due this week. actually, as i'm writing this i have not yet finish my assignments. just taking a few minutes of my time for my blog since it's been really ~~quiet~~ here. promise after this friday and after i have submitted all my assignments i will update on the latest things that's been happening these last couple of weeks. fingers crossed!! okay, now back to my assignments! see you soon dear blog and readers!! =PP

i'm ~~not~~ a big fan of ~~JomHeboh~~ carnival. the last time i went to a carnival like this was when i was a kid and they still called it ~~SureHeboh~~ instead of JomHeboh. i think due to the ~~controversy~~ of mixing the words 'sure' with 'heboh' made them changed it to JomHeboh. okay, enough with the history of it. what i wanna say here is that ~~i don't like~~ going to the carnival. it was ~~too noisy~~, ~~too many people~~, ~~rubbish~~ here and there and people don't really use their eyes when walking. it was ~~chaotic~~ and i was really ~~depressed~~ at the moment. i didn't wanna go in the first place but my mom insisted that i accompany her because she wanted to buy food mostly junk food like Maggi, Chipsmore, Jacker, and so on. hence, i went anyway with mom, sis, and few of her friends. whoooooaaaaa, i seriously ~~hate it~~!

it was held in Danga Bay, JB.. see? see how crowded it was??

when will people learn not to throw rubbish anywhere they want?? it's an ~~ugly~~ scene people.. come on!!

i hated the fact that i used my eyes when walking but people around me didn't... they ~~pushed~~ past me as if i was some kind of a ~~lamp post~~ or something. i know you guys are damn excited to see your favorite artists but come on! please have some manners.. God didn't give you eyes for you to sniff, it's for you to look around before you hit something or someone!

one thing i found interesting was that booths and kiosks where there are ~~artists~~ in it, wooowwwww!! it was ~~jam-packed~~ with people lining up for ~~pictures~~ and ~~photographs~~.. i dunno how they managed to stand for hours just for a photograph. but in kiosks like Kota Ilmu (City of Knowledge), Berita Harian (a Malaysian newspaper), 999 (crime facts program), and any other educational and should-be-watched-instead-of-entertainment booths... there were only ~~few people~~.. this just showed how ~~ignorant~~ and ~~simple-minded~~ people can be.. i'm not mad that some people wanted to see their favorite artists, hey it's your right and be my guest.. but is it hard for people to spend a few minutes in kiosks that can educate and enrich them with all sorts of information?

anyway, i registered already as a voter at SPR booth! heeee~

the one with Johnny's Restaurant

my first time dining out with my family at Johnny's. we usually ate at Pizza Hut or Kenny Rogers or any Malay's restaurants in JB. but mom was ~~tempted~~ to try Johnny's because of the brochure given by a Johnny's employee at the entrance of the door. we were actually on our way to Pizza Hut @ Jusco Tebrau City. but we made a u-turn because mom said she wanted to try the steamboat there. honestly, i'm ~~not~~ a really big fan of steamboat since i tend to hv ~~digestion problems~~ after eating them *simptom kerap ke tandas selepas mkan steamboat. dunno why* but seeing my family eating as if the world's at an end, i became an ignorant of those symptoms. haha.. and ate happily alongside them. we laughed and my dad, mom, and sis nearly cried because of me. i dunno whether i should write this here or not since this would really ~~embarrassed~~ me and what org melayu usually cakap -~~drop my water face~~!- hahaha rojak sungguh english.. i accidently ~~farted~~.. and the condition of the chair i was sitting in at the moment made my sis think my cellphone vibrated! haha.. i giggled and that's when she noticed and said "~~sis, kamu kentut ehk?~~" my face was red.. but then i said dengan selambanya "~~yayy,i did.. my bad. sorry~~" and that's when they all laughed. dang! i tried really hard to hide it.. haha...okay, i don't care if you understand or not and i'm not gonna explain deeper.. as this involves my pride and dignity. ceeeewaaaaaaahhh! hahaha

certain people when eating steamboat they would pour the ingredients one by one. but my family, we poured everything in all at once! haha.. *mcm2 rasa ada*

the one where we dunno how to read the map?

haha.. i know, the title itself shows how ~~dumb~~ i am when it comes to map-reading. i thought i know and i thought it would be easy, but clearly i was wrong. it starts with me and my dear friend Jasmine Abdul Karim and it happened about 4 days ago. our little tour in Georgetown Penang. weird huh? it's been 3 years of me living in Penang but i still got ~~lost~~. maybe i need to live for another 3 years to familiarize myself with the roads in Penang.. and i need a car! abah! ooopppss, licence first! damn!! i'm ~~22 yo~~ and i don't even have a driving licence! but anyways, Georgetown is like a really ~~huge maze~~ and getting lost is common. so no worries you first-timer in Penang out there! you need to get lost so that you're familiar with the roads.. *knp bunyi ayat nie mcm pelik? get lost?* hahha!

we actually decided to go to Georgetown because we wanted to visit the State Museum for our research. it was the first time we ever get to use the RapidPenang CAT free shuttle bus. it was actually for tourists since its destination is actually tourist attractions. the funny thing is the people on the bus were ~~not tourists~~. they were local people! well, maybe because it's free. haha! i guess you can put it this way, me and my friend.. we were the only 'tourists' on the bus! ngahahahaahah!!!

the museum was really interesting btw. it was full of information on Penang's culture and people. surprisingly, there's a lot you can learn just by visiting the museum. we managed to interview the museum staff, local and even international tourists from Thailand and Scotland. we were lucky actually since it was on Sunday.. hence the museum was jam-packed with tourists from all over the world. =PPP

then we ~~walked~~ from the museum all the way to Masjid Kapitan Keling for Zuhur prayer. the mosque really gives me ~~goosebumps~~. the first time i went there which was around a year ago, i swear i thought i saw ~~'kelibat putih'~~ crossed behind me while i was taking my wudhu'. i saw it through the mirror and i remember i was ~~alone~~. i almost freaked out but then i quickened everything and got out of the restroom. God knows how scared i was but i tried to think it was my imagination. huhu.. that was a year ago anyway.. might just be me imagining things. i was taking LHP453/creative writing that sem. hence my imagination was never ending. hahahahah~

seriously from state museum to the mosque, the views and people were really nice and it would look superb if photographed. i had my DSLR but we were in a hurry so didn't really had enough time to take pictures. but i will soon. then we went looking for KOMTAR. this is where it got interesting. ~~WE WERE LOST~~!! haha

i thought i read it right and we would end up at the right place but the street we ended up in was the complete opposite of what we thought. okay... ~~we dunno how to read maps~~. that said. it was weird coz the road we took, it was absolutely ~~empty~~! all shops were closed and there were nobody.. almost like ~~a deserted town~~! like in the movies! with newspapers flying around looking like ~~a dead city~~! dang i should've taken some pictures so you guys can see how dead it was.. haha~

it was like this but if say that pic is Penang it would be an exaggeration punishable by death.. haha.. so pretty~ ours was quite scary.. =))

we got into a small fight more like a cute fight.. hhahaa.. about which one is the way.. then a local middle-aged Chinese man helped us.. thank you uncle! haha

he even asked where we're from.. and i said from JB. it would be really embarrassing to say we're from USM. he even wished us to enjoy our holiday! *sorry uncle* heheheh~

we found KOMTAR.. it was easy because KOMTAR's building is really tall and we just went from one small street to another until we found the place. haha~

dear blog,

i've ~~abandoned~~ you once again. sorry dear!! i've been ~~super busy~~ lately! even if i'm not busy then i'm ~~sick~~... yes, i haven't been taking good care of myself and i've been ~~careless~~. nevertheless, i've learned my lesson! it was a hard one but effective! because i got really really sick that i had to go to the doctors quite a few times. and you have to know that i rarely go to hospitals or even clinics. one is of course i already have mom and dad for that since they're from the world of IV's and fusions. hahahaha!! but the most important one was that i've never fallen sick like super sick before! haha! even though i'm back to my old state, there's this sense of ~~insecurity~~, worrying over things like will the pain come back? is there something really wrong with me? and other sorts of mind-boggling questions that still remain ~~unanswered~~.

actually, i have tonnes of things to write about but as of this moment i am covered in ~~pile of works~~ unfinished!! and it's stressing! i'm ~~depressed~~ but trying to shove it away since stress is one of the main reason i got sick. *sebelum nie doc kate stress lah penyebab utama i got acne and now ~~stress is one of the main reason i fell sick~~!!* wannursyazana >>> simple reminder.. do not stress out!!

oh, yesterday we went bowling... with the rest of Soc Sci's final year students. it was a joyous event but at the same time there's this ~~sad~~ feeling >> because my ~~bowling skill sucks~~ and because we're gonna ~~part ways~~ very soon considering this is our last semester together. i felt like i just registered as a USM student yesterday. the image of mom, dad, and sis waving their goodbyes to me is still vivid. three years went by like it was nothing even though it's filled with bunch of memories. memories that will never be forgotten but remembered clearly in this mind and heart. i love you guys!!!

okay, after going back and forth to the clinic twice already, now i know what the hell is wrong with me. it's called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).and the doc said something about ~~reflux esophagitis~~. i googled it - it's ~~necrosis (dead cells)~~ in my esophagus which causes ~~ulcers~~... luka dalam esofagus saya!! patutlah pedih.. gila menakutkan kot....!!! =(( oh my god, now i'm super ~~scared~~! the doc said a lot of things.. things i can eat and cannot eat... these are those that i cannot eat!!! :

fruits or juice that are ~~acidic~~ in nature
~~fatty~~ foods (no McD!! aiyaaaaa!!)
pretzels (don't eat them by the way)
~~coffee & tea~~ (wth?!! tea?? oh my god i love them~)
onions (hate them)
peppermint (dunno about this)
~~chocolate~~ (okay, now i'm sad... i'm a choc lover. how am i supposed not to eat them??)
~~spicy~~ foods (no more sambal belacan)
oily food (bye2 ayam goreng IK)

i cannot eat ~~excessive~~ or big meals. but hv to eat frequently. every 3 hours. what the heck am i supposed to eat every 3 hours???? and after googling it, there are a lot more of other things i can and cannot do!! oh my oh my.. so many ~~pantang~~ now.. but no matter what i hv to stick to it. it hurts like hell! but i'm sure hell is a lot more worst of course. it's technically a hyperbole. ooomoooo, please go away... sangat sakit tau.. i hv ~~trouble swallowing~~ food and drinks since my esophagus got ulcer... and i don't wanna do ~~endoscopy~~! you know, where the doc stick the tiny instrument with camera and light at the front used to examine interior organs. they would stick it into my mouth until it reach it's destination... ~~scary~~ ok!! ya Allah, please make the pain go away as soon as possible and i am praying for my healthy figure once again~ amin~

*what's weird is that normally ~~obese~~ people get this kind of disease. i'm ~~super skinny~~.. guess i'm one of a kind~ *attempt no 1 to reduce ~~stress~~ and ~~horror~~ after learning what GERD is all about~*

my chest ~~hurts~~... so much. it's been like this for three days already. at first i thought it was because my sleeping position was wrong three nights ago. i thought it would go away soon. but it's been three days and it's really ~~hard~~ for me to swallow my food. it felt like something's pulling me from the inside. my chest becomes really tight that it's hard to breath or to burp for that matter. after burp it would be really ~~painful~~. sakitnyaaaaaa~ tomorrow the clinic will be closed because of Maulidurrasul... macam mana?

what's happening? i googled about chest pain and read a few lines only. afterward it got so ~~scary~~ that i stopped reading~

i have tonnes of things i wanna talk about but am really ~~lazy~~ to write them all down. haha. let's just talk about yesterday shall we? went for a Walk-In Heritage organized by Archaeology Club and History Club along with my friend Jasmine Abdul Karim (JAK). we went to visit most of the museums here in Penang. almost 3 years as a citizen of Penang, i didn't know there were so many museums. i only went to one museum which is the State Museum quite a long time ago. there were Islamic Museum, Malay Museum, and War Museum. apart from the museum we also went to Fort Cornwallis which was opened by Francis Light (the founder of Penang) and Kapitan Keling Mosque which highlights the existence of Indian Muslim in Malaysia. been to Kapitan Keling many times already. Fort Cornwallis, usually hang out there with my friends at night so never had the chance to actually see the inside of it until yesterday because they close at night. it was awesome seeing being in a bunker where they used to store ~~weapon ammunitions~~ and canons. hehe.. by the way, most of the roads in Penang were closed yesterday because of Chinese New Year Celebration. Lunar New Year here in Penang, the people celebrated it in a really grand manner. roads were closed and occupied by kiosks with all sorts of decoration. the streets of Penang were decorated with red lanterns hanging from lamp post to lamp post. it was really fun to walk along the streets of Penang because of the atmosphere it exerted yesterday.

Penang War Museum was awesome!! it was the actual military post for the British then the Japanese during WWII...the bunkers, the main offices, the cook, the torture room and the torture tools and so on... ~~scary~~! we had to ~~crawl~~ along tunnels and ~~climb~~ a 90 degree stair. it was super fun! planning on going again for a night tour where we can actually hear bombs explode and guns blazing through the night. people screaming. it would surely feel like we were actually there during the war~ and then we can ~~relive the horrors of the WWII~~

the one with malay movies

as most people can see, i ~~rarely~~ review Malay movies. well, that's cause i ~~rarely watch~~ them. not that i'm not supportive of local movies. it's just ~~hard~~ to find one with a whole lot of values and ~~qualities~~ in it. one movie that managed to capture my attention years back was Khabir Bhatia's Sepi. i love it. the movie was like Valentine's Day, Love Actually, and He's Just Not That Into You where random love stories compiled and connected to one another in a movie. it has multiple story lines and the perspectives it took were justifiably interesting. a guy falling for someone's wife prior to his wife's death but unable to be with that person because the situation prohibits them. a cook always receiving wedding invitations of his ex-girlfriends and reflecting on his personal life until he meet his soul mate. and finally, a girl who's ~~shadowed~~ by the death of his boyfriend becomes temporarily blinded by her imagination until rescued by an admirer. i dunno why but i love this movie. it was well-coordinated and well-delivered. another work by Khabir Bhatia that i also like is Cinta. it's the same as Sepi but has more stories in it. it's few of the Malay movies that i can look up to and be proud of.

but i recently went to watch Khurafat : Perjanjian Syaitan directed by Syamsul Yusof and to my surprise it was actually a really good horror movie. i've watched tonnes of horror movies before, be it Malay, Thailand, Korean, Japanese, or Hollywood and i have to say ~~very few movies scared me to death~~. most of them are gory and ~~bloody~~. especially zombie movies. yuckk. movies like Paranormal Activity (the first one) which is a low budget movie almost ~~scared me to death~~. haha.. haven't watch the second one yet. gathering all my guts to watch it. haha. apart from that movies from Thailand scares me the most especially Nang-Nak. i was a kid when i watched that one. never watch it for the second time. maybe i will.. soon. haha i like Phobia... especially the second one.. and especially the last story. funny as hell! haha.. but i'm here to talk about Khurafat... back to the point >> when i decided to watch the movie, i didn't think i would be sitting on the edge of my seat and holding my friend really tight that i swear i might've bruised her!! haha... i didn't expect the ~~ghost~~ to be so darn ~~drastic~~! drastic as in ~~coming straight at you~~ instead of just sitting or standing there scaring you. i swear to God my heart almost stopped and i got very jumpy afterward. haha.. it has element of surprise at parts you won't expect. and the ending was unexpected! seriously it was scary and good! two thumbs up to Syamsul Yusof.. thanks for scaring me! plus he's acting is way different than his prior movies.. maybe because this one is a super serious movie.. if i have to describe his acting in words, i'd say matured... and Liyana Jasmay always look like a kid to me and she's just adorable.. haha.. especially with tudung.. anyway i needed to scream since i haven't scream in a long time. hence, it was a good scream. haha.... so, go watch it!

go Malaysia! keep making wonderful and great movies! oh, i can't wait to watch Yusry Abdul Halim's Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa!

the one with the people's will

it started with Tunisia. then the president stepped down due to ongoing demonstration by the people of Tunisia. he was dictator anyway when he seized Tunisia years ago. but, what happened in Tunisia, happened in Egypt afterwards. currently there are uprisings by the people of Egypt demanding President Hosni Mubarak to step down form his position as the leader of the country. but he said he will not give in to the people's wish and will continue his duty until his term ended in September. and only through election will he accept the final result. hence, it's been a week since the uprising in Egypt occurred and they showed no sign of easing and giving up. it got more and more violent. what's worrying is the Malaysian students still stranded over there because of the flights been delayed. shortage of food, crime spree, and a whole other problems there. people got trapped in the middle of the clash between pro-government, anti-government, and the police. it's a good thing they used bean bags instead of actual bullets to handle the situation. but, if hit somewhere like the eyes, it can cause blindness.

Malaysian government already sent in the Royal Malaysian Air Force with supply of food and other things for those still stranded there and trying their best to bring them back. AirAsia even provided their Airbus A320 to fly them back from Egypt to Malaysia. some already taken flights and transited in Dubai or elsewhere. bottom line, the government needs to do whatever it takes and as fast as possible to get Malaysian students out of the red zone. because the situation is getting worst day by day.

we're all praying for the safety of Malaysian students and also the people of Egypt. let's pray it ends quickly and avoid any more bloodshed in the country. i love Egypt because it has everything someone like me ever wish to see. the land of the pharaohs and rich in ancient history. i'm hoping the uprising ends in a good term.

the one with food and lesson learned

after the meeting with ICGGS (International Conference on Globalization, Governance, and Sustainability) committee ended, a few of us went out to eat @ Nasi Kandar Beratur. i wanna talk about this particular nasi kandar and the things that happened there. i've been living in Penang as a university student for almost 3 years already and that was the first time i went to eat there. and to tell ya, that nasi kandar is really popular and you literally have to line up (beratur) just to order it. haha. it's original nasi kandar and it tastes good. it's actually one of the few fine-taste nasi kandar i've eaten. the side dish is quite dense and concentrated. and that's whats good about it. compared to other mamak's which the side dishes are quite slushy. huhu...

see this? the line will be like this for almost everyday. people even waited ~~half an hour earlier~~ (9.30PM) just to buy them. it's quite expensive though. i took nasi separuh, a fried chicken and veges with kuah campur = RM5.50. but it was worth the price anyway.

when we first arrived there, there was this i dunno how to say, i don't wanna say that he's insane. he wandered around the area and shouted in terms of promoting the nasi kandar. the reason i don't wanna labeled him as a ~~demented~~ person was because deep down inside, he's just like the rest of us. maybe he's gone a little bit out of his mind but who's to say he's crazy? who's to say ~~we're not crazy?~~ people's definitions of crazy itself are subjective. we might think a guy who sleeps on the street, talks nonsense, wears dirty clothes and so on as a crazy guy but what about the guy himself? he might sees himself differently. his world is no doubt different than ours. maybe he's just so deep in his world that he tends to ~~ignore~~ the actual reality. it's his own parallel universe. sometimes i think that maybe one of these homeless guys is an anthropologist. being one of them in order to understand them. but who knows. my friend gave the guy a buck anyway.

maybe it's like that

then while we ate, a child came to our table. he asked for ~~alms~~ (sedekah). i was really broke and i only had 10bucks in my wallet. i looked at him and he was just a child. this sort of thing is ~~normal~~. my guess is that the kid has an adult looking out for him and at the same time ask the kid to go out and beg for money (~~employed beggars~~). i didn't give any since i myself was broke. my friend again gave the kid a buck. then the kid went to another table. this is where it got interesting. sat the table sat 4 young Malay guys maybe mid 20s i supposed. one guy asked the kid if he had dinner already and the kid hesitated.

"kalau belum makan pergi order, abang bayar" he said

i was like 'woooooowwwww'. why didn't i think of that. instead of giving the money, treat the kid a meal. often times, when we give money to someone whose in need, our intentions are good and we wanted them to make the best of it. but sometimes, the money ends up in a place where it's not supposed to. lets say, ~~gambling table~~, gaming arcade and so on. what the guy did was noble and should i say creative. maybe i can do it sometimes, when my YPJ is in! which it is not in yet and i am super duper broke! ahaha

the one with LG Lollipop!

a few entries back, i've written about my ~~dissatisfaction~~ with my Xperia and my fascination over LG GD580 otherwise known as Lollipop. i've given up on keeping up with the latest cellphone technologies. and now i'm focusing on what's more satisfying rather than advanced. as long as i can make some calls, send some texts, listen to musics 24/7, and all other basic things a cellphone should have. being cute and adorable are desirable features and provide extra points to actually buy the phone. anyway, bought it already. originally, i wanted the pink one but it was out of stocks and it would be a while (lama actually) for the pink ones to come to Malaysia. alas, the red one looks cool and it will nonetheless makes me look more valiant. haha. i love the lollipop from top to bottom! even though it seems a little bit long for my small hand, it doesn't matter! clicking on the keypad let out a bubbly sound. it does that every time you click on any key. the first time i heard it at the kiosk, i immediately fell head over heels for the phone! the LED lighting is just amazing! i can even create my own pattern *which looks ugly btw* haha. the sound is good although the lowest volume is a little loud but good for someone like me *sometimes i'm ~~hearing-impaired~~* hehe. the menu, font, themes, arrangement of files are just so dainty. it's just so not me! haha!

i asked for a lollipop as a free gift. she gave me chupa chups lollipop. the kinda lollipop in my mind was this :

the one where it's unfair?

~~unfair~~ : i experienced it twice today.

and seriously, i got nothing in return! only sheer ~~disappointment~~!

because of the ~~unfairness~~ of certain things in this world; i look like this right now. ~~angry~~ but still cute.

when i'm angry, i become ~~stressed out~~. that one strand of the rope left. imagine shattered glass being held together by a simple glue. ~~easily broken~~. that's me right now. easily broken by pressure.

hence, sleep is always the best medicine in this kind of situation. so, to avoid further unfairness, angriness, and stress, i better sleep. also to avoid me ~~swearing~~ any longer and to reduce my sins, i hv to sleep.

i don't know what else i am supposed to do. these ~~acnes~~ on my face really ~~hurts~~ and it really ~~sucks~~ that i have to wear foundation to conceal them! been to a government dermatologist already and had to take pills and stuff specially for my skin care. after a couple of months, my skin got fairer and less acnes to a point where it got no acne at all. at that time i felt relieved because i finally get nice skin. then i ~~stopped~~ taking my ~~meds~~ because i felt like a ~~lunatic~~ and ~~psychologically-disturbed~~ patient living on medications. plus it must've had ~~side effects~~ since they're drugs. hence, i stopped taking them. few months after it ~~began~~ again. it was ~~madness~~. now, i'm back on doctor's prescribed medications. it's been almost 2 months but no effects. it's killing me inside out. my roommate suggest that i try Kinohimitsu J'pan Beauty Drink. it's collagen in high concentration. it should work. without hesitation i went out venturing the shopping mall and finally ended up in Watson. i bought it for ~~RM65.90~~ *6 bottles with 2 free bottles=8 bottles* the usual price is RM89.90 but i guess it's sale season so it was an offer price. yes, expensive if you count in Malaysian Ringgit but not that expensive in Euros. haha.

i hope it works because it took me quite a ~~fortune~~ to buy this collagen

went to survey for how much i can sell my Xperia for. for the moment the highest i could get is RM400 smthg2. waaaaaa, ~~so cheap~~. my dad bought it 4 months ago for 1k smthg2 and sell it for 400MYR? soooo cheap~ i asked how much LG Lollipop is worth now. one shop wanted to sell it to me for 820MYR!! it's freaking expensive! since cell phones' taxes have dropped because of 2011 Budget's no taxes for cell phones, it should be around 650MYR-690MYR. but that dude was gonna sell it to me at such an abominable price! another shop said the price was 670MYR = acceptable. but i haven't bought it yet. i need to do a little more surveying with someone who's an expert in this sort of thing. till then!

all of a sudden i ~~hate~~ technologies! the advanced technologies ~~blinded~~ me to the fact that no matter how progressive they are, they still have ~~flaws~~. now i'm feeling like selling my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro! the Android system it's using of course is really fast and amazing but something about it and because of the state-of-the-art technology it uses made me wanna sell it for a much cheaper and simpler mobile phone! one with no Wi-fi connections! i don't mind coz i already have my iPod if i feel like going on9. seriously, as of this moment, i am texting my dad and asking his permission to sell it since he gave me this cellphone. sorry abah, but it's ~~driving me nuts~~! and i know it's driving you up the wall also because of the bills! the ~~bill~~ is ~~mind-boggling, shocking, stunning,~~ and super ~~unacceptable~~!! the more advanced the technology, the more ~~scarier~~ it becomes! oh, just got a text from my dad. he said to ask the shop owner how much i can trade in my Xperia for. means he's giving me a green light to sell it! haha, thanks abah! love you so much! now i can sleep soundly after hours worrying about this stupid matter! oh, i forgot to say what kind of phone i'm trading it for >>>> it's LG GD580 Lollipop (it's got no wi-fi btw)

the one with the new year

this is my first post for the year 2011. but i don't know what to jot down here coz i barely did anything interesting for the past few days. except for new year celebration. it was not like i went clubbing or anything. just walked back and forth at the beach until the clock hits 12AM. then the ~~deafening sound~~ of children's laughing, adults screaming, and techno music blazing through the night were ~~sunken~~ by the loud sound of fireworks going off in the night sky signalling the entrance to a new year. then it became a lot more ~~wilder~~ when people started to ~~scream~~ out of nowhere and ~~jumped~~ ecstatically for no reason. it was fun to watch but ~~not exactly fun for me to do~~. hence, i just put my eyes as far out as possible and saw how people reacted to new year celebration. even married couples took their kids out for a walk in the night just to see the fireworks. mom and dad used to do that when we were little. they took us to see some car exhibition blah blah i don't remember. the we waited anxiously for the fireworks to light up the sky. haha.. i was darn excited back then to see stuff like that. but i don't think i get excited anymore by the sight and sound of fireworks. hummm, here in Malaysia, when people here the explosive sound of fireworks.. people jumped in exhilaration and joy. but, in countries like Palestine, if they hear some ~~explosion~~ near them, they wouldn't jump or cheers. instead, they would try to find some places to hide and save their loved ones first. so, for me to jump in joy while thinking that some people in some parts of the world are not able to do so would be kinda ~~impolite~~ and make me ~~an ignorant~~. so, i just watched instead.

but my main target is to get Dean's List again since this is my last semester. and then graduate with my friends and finally get a job in the Museum *mungkin Jabatan Muzium Malaysia sekiranya ada rezeki. Insyaallah~* i need working experience before i further in Master.

last but not least, i want to try eating healthy food. i'm gonna try not to skip breakfast *eating Cheerios for b/fast*

i know i know.. my YPJ is not in yet but i already bought myself a new pair of shoe. hey, i've been wearing my pink Crocs Malindi everyday to class for a year already. and i haven't bought any shoes ever since that Crocs except for a heel that i used for special occasions... just now went ~~shopping~~ with a friend of mine at ~~Queensbay Mall~~ and treated myself with a pair of flats from Momoe! and it's cute! i love it! i've been dying to buy myself a pair of flats and tired of wearing the same pink crocs everyday to class. flats normally goes well with skinny jeans.. it would look more fancy and funky with a jumper or some baggy shirts.. wowww, i'm becoming more and more conscious about my appearance nowadays!

tomorrow's public holiday because Malaysia won the Suzuki AFF Cup against Indonesia... Congratulation Malaysia!! but still, friday has been holiday for me since i don't have class on that day.. still thinking on what to do tomorrow.. gonna attend the PIKOM PC Fair held in USM main campus, then maybe went out to get Baskin Robbins with my friend if 'rajin'.... coz tomorrow's 31st Dec.. >> ~~31% discount~~ for the ice cream.. yummyy!!

the one with the most expensive 3D

i've watched 3D movies several times already and normally paid somewhere around RM16-RM18 per movie. a couple of days ago, went to watch Rapunzel in 3D and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. HP was okay i guess. but a lot of people are ~~pissed~~ because the movie didn't quite capture the whole thing. but hey, i guess it was ~~so-so~~ to me. quite a great movie actually... of course some parts are doomed to be left out from the book. it's what happened to all movies adapted from books. no matter how advanced the CGI and special effects are, there are just some things that ~~cannot~~ be ~~portrayed~~ in a movie. if you want everything to be the exact same as the book, you might end up having 4 or 5 parts of HP. nahhh, too long..

we'll see what The Chronicles of Narnia : Voyage of The Dawn Treader premiering next week has for us. i'm gonna watch it.. in 3D of course.. haha

oh back to the 3D thingy, never expected i would watch cartoon esp Disney in a cinema, let along in 3D. but hey folks, i know it's hard to believe but i did. haha. *masih xpercaya* what's even more hard to believe was that i paid ~~RM21~~ for Rapunzel 3D!! wtf??!! it's the ~~most expensive~~ movie i have ever watched!! and it's a musical cartoon with a crazy-ass-fool-weird-acting horse and singing characters!! aiyaaa.. never once it crossed my mind to watch something like this in 3D.. but the past is in the past and thank goodness the movie was good, quirky, kinky, and funny. haha oh i forgot the title is Tangled not Rapunzel.. and i nearly had a ~~heart attack~~ when the cinema worker mentioned the price. i might not collapsed but my expression changed instantly. but i fixed it ASAP when looking back at her (the staff) haha wondering whether i fail or not when trying to hide my ~~shock~~ expression.. haha

the one with the universal studio (1st part)

there are actually a lot i wanna write about our little trip to Universal Studio Singapore on Nov 22nd, 2010. so much that i hv no idea where to start. haha... i guess i'll start from the beginning of our trip starting from Kota Raya Terminal.. we took a shuttle bus straight to Resort World Sentosa *xtau pon ade?* what really ~~frustrating~~ was that we left the terminal at 7.45am but reached Resort World at 11.00am !!! the ~~traffic~~ on Tambak Johor, the bridge connecting Johor to Singapore was ~~unbelievably horrible~~!! not to mention we had to get on and off the bus quite a few times at the immigration to settle our passports. haiisshhh.. serius leceh!

as soon as we arrived we went straight to the ticketing counter and since i have already booked the tickets *xnk pisang ebrbuah dua x punya pasal*, we just went straight to the entrance and showed our tickets without any trouble! took our voucher (SD5 for food and SD5 for shopping) yayy! the place was super duper crowded with people from all walks of life. kids, adult, seniors, asian, caucasian, arabs, and lots more. the stores lined up to the right and left of us held superb designs and architecture! saw Mel's Drive-In at the T-junction. Mel's Drive-In is the kind of restaurant you usually see in Hollywood movies.. this was from Back To The Future if i'm not mistaken. we took the left turn and walked straight into NEW YORK CITY! haha amazing! felt like i was really standing in the middle of the Big Apple! there were the 5th Avenue Broadway! been dying to watch broadway there! In 'New York', we entered Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg >>>> we were placed in an empty sound stage where it later became a set where ~~category 5 hurricane~~ hit us!! the special effects were terrific! i really felt like it was real, i mean even the background the city of New York being crushed by the hurricane seemed real! it was awesome!! the fire, the explosion were all real! damn Steven Spielberg's good!!

it's gorgeous at night! i love it! one day, i will step my foot in New York.. getting a job in the United Nation maybe? haha dream big people!

after New York, we went for a little space adventure >>> Sci Fi City where it house the craziest roller coaster i have ever seen in my entire life! it uses the concept of Battlestar Galactica.. there were two tracks >>> blue track as Cyclon and red track as Human... unfortunately, the roller coaster ~~hasn't opened~~ yet for public.. what a disappointment. i saw the track and it was like hell crazy! those who are willing to take a ride on it are nuts! haha i wanted to... (T____T)

see what i mean? wee how crazy the tracks are? guess they need to be sure these are really safe to be opened to public... no worries, i'll be back! haha

okay, im gonna stop here.. this will be the first part of our trip.. New York City and Sci-Fi City. i will update as soon as possible on The Lost World, Far Far Away, Madagascar, and Hollywood.. i can't write them all down in this post.. too many to write about and too many pictures to upload..
